Competition Team

Thompson Dance has an award winning competition team which competes internationally and in Cyprus. They have competed at Dance World Cup 2016 and 2018 representing Cyprus and placing fourth in the world. They have won many trophies and have competed in London, Jersey, Spain, Greece and are National Champions in Nicosia, Limassol, and Paphos winning hundreds of trophies.

The students of Thompson School of Dance and performing arts have incredible opportunities attending international dance competitions, UK dance workshops being taught by world famous teachers and choreographers and superb examination results.

​Our competition team are known to be incredible dancers, singers and acrobatic performers.

Our most recent winners won National Champions at ‘Follow Your Dream’ Competition in London.

Liberty Thompson won National Champion aged 15 and under Imogen Ward won National Champion aged 13 and under.

Both students won cash prizes, trophies, crown, sash and a scholarship to attend Australian Nationals.

Our competition team were featured on ‘Britains Got Talent’ 2017.

The team competed in the biggest TV show in Greece and Cyprus ‘Greece Got Talent’ and performed 4 different group dances on the live T.V show winning a place in the live finals 2018.

Our team dances at CYD live dance convention in 2019 on a main stage performance.
